Better Dogs through Positive Reinforcement and Clear, Consistent Communication

Our Approach
We love our dogs. They're part of our families, but let's face it, there are times when they test our patience. If they are out of control and don't do what we ask , it makes matters worse. That's why obedience and manners training is so important for you and your dog - it allows us to live happier lives together!

Do any of these scenarios sound familiar?

  • Your dog or puppy has accidents in the house.
  • They ignore you when you call them.
  • They jump up on people when they are excited or they jump up on your furniture.

What about:

  • Chewing?
  • Leash-pulling when you go for a walk?
  • Biting or Nipping?
  • Non-stop barking?
  • Scratching?
  • Incessant Licking?
  • Fearfulness?
  • Reactivity?

These undesireable behaviors can be improved, and we can help you and your dog have a better relationship based on positive reinforcement and clear communication. I've successfully trained dogs (and their owners) in classroom environments and one-on-one. I can provide you and your dog basic, advanced, or customized training.
What We Do
We will typically meet once a week for an hour*.  In that hour, we will talk about why each command is important and what the targeted behavior looks like.  I will introduce the behavior to your dog and demonstrate the command execution.  Then you will execute the command with your dog while we observe and fine tune your delivery of the command.  This way, you know you're training your dog in a correct,  clear, consistent manner.

* The training schedule is flexible so that special situations can be addressed.
Training Services and Rates
Training is based on positive reinforcement and clear, consistent communication with your dog.  We will train at your home, on your street, the park, pet store, or other locations, depending on what we're working on.

In advanced obedience, we will reinforce the basic commands and proof them by introducing more difficult concepts.  There is a big difference between your dog performing sit stay in your living room  and performing sit stay at the dog park.  We will teach your dog to perform, despite distractions.  We will also teach your dog to perform fundamental commands from a distance, and we will increase the duration of your dog's stay.  In customized training, we take specific behaviors that you want your dog to learn, and develop a plan to teach your dog these new behaviors.

Board and Train

$250 Per Week, 4-6 Weeks
We will board your dog for four to six weeks in our home-based kennels, and an accredited trainer will work with your dog every day to teach your dog basic obedience and manners.  We will also address any behavioral issues or concerns.  Then we will follow up the training by spending time with you to ensure your dog will perform and you can execute and reinforce the commands at home.

Basic Boarding

$25 per Day
Going on vacation? Just need a break for a few days? We will board your dog in our home based kennels. We'll walk your dog daily and your dog will spend a minimum of 2 hours a day supervised in our large backyard.
